Their journey started out with worldly ambitions, but God had other plans.

 

Brandon and Jen were both influenced by Calvinism in their early lives within the Lutheran Church. They met not long after high school and, after an unusually long courtship, got married. They spent their early adulthood chasing worldly desires and climbing the corporate ladder. This eventually left them both feeling empty and feeling that there must be more to life.

 

They decided to go back to church, and their search led them to Beloved where they experienced the agape love of God and covenant family. While at Beloved, they have grown in their faith and understanding of the scriptures. Their faithfulness in serving has led to God opening the door to leading the Young Adults group. Their heart’s desire is to minister to young adults in life’s challenges as well as celebrate the goodness of God in their lives.

“It is such an honor to serve in the Kingdom of God. I look back on my life and see the goodness of God chasing me through every season. His faithfulness and grace have blessed me beyond my imagination. It is my prayer that the Lord can use me to show others that I encounter the authentic Jesus.”

The Austin’s enjoy traveling, going for walks, and eating good food. Their favorite place to visit is the ARK Encounter and Creation Museum in Kentucky.
